Buddhists everywhere should adhere firmly to the principles of morality, including obedience, the Four Noble Truths, and non-anger.

Visakha Bucha Day, a radiant and splendid day,

At the riverbank of Neranchara, under the Bodhi tree's shade,

Above the stupa of Buddha's relics, adorned with grace,

The Supreme Triumvirate, victorious over Mara.

The Four Assemblies, venerable with great merit,

Counting the blessings of realization,

Every realm aspiring to enlightenment,

Resolves to practice charity without fail.

Today marks the completion of twenty-six centuries,

The day to eliminate the mass of suffering,

A day when the world universally acknowledges

As "Visakha Bucha Day," as it has been for so long.
